Fun Facts & Hobbies:
I grew up on a farm in Saskatchewan, which gave me a strong appreciation for the outdoors and a love for the simple things in life. I’ve always been very artistic and creative — from years as a competitive dancer to a lifelong passion for drawing, painting, and other creative outlets.
Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends and am always up for trying something new or going on an adventure. Travelling is one of my favourite ways to recharge and experience new cultures — my most recent trip was to South Africa, which was unforgettable.
Favorite Treatments:
My own experience as an acupuncture patient has shown me how individualized each treatment can be, and I carry that into my practice. I especially enjoy working with headaches and migraines, digestive concerns such as bloating or irregular digestion, menstrual and hormonal health, stress and nervous system regulation, sleep concerns, chronic pain, urinary and pelvic health, and extreme fatigue or low energy.
Having been on the patient side myself, I understand how valuable it is to receive care that’s tailored specifically to what your body needs that day.
Favorite Techniques:
I love each modality for a different reason, and I’m a big believer in choosing techniques based on what the body needs in the moment.
- Ear seeds — My go‑to when I’m feeling stressed or under pressure. They offer gentle, ongoing support between treatments.
- Cupping — One of my favourites for relieving back and muscle tension, supporting headaches, easing cold and flu symptoms, and promoting circulation.
- Gua sha — Especially helpful for lymphatic stagnation through the head and neck, targeted muscle tension, or when paired with therapeutic liniments.
- Moxibustion — I love using moxa to support energy, strengthen the body’s natural defences, and address specific needs based on an acupuncture diagnosis.
- Electroacupuncture — A versatile tool for nervous system regulation, muscle and joint pain, sleep support, and chronic pain.
What I love most is combining these modalities with acupuncture to create a treatment that’s specific to what each person needs that day.
Preferred Music During Treatment:
I prefer calm, relaxing music that helps create a peaceful atmosphere and allows patients to fully switch off. In a busy world, it’s important to have space to slow down, disconnect, and rest — and I want the treatment room to feel like exactly that. Soft instrumental music, gentle ambient sounds, or familiar mellow tunes all help create that sense of calm.
Personally, I’m a huge fan of Noah Kahan, Hozier, Lord Huron, and The Lumineers (all of whom I’ve seen live). So if you hear some mellow indie folk during your treatment, there’s a good chance it’s one of my favourites.
